It was exasperating at times, but the swans really did grind out a terrific win in the potteries after a late penalty secured the three points for Cooper’s army. After such a deflating run of games and conceding seven goals in the last two games the swans are three points closer to securing a play off spot with second place in their sights.
Defensive conundrum for Cooper & Marsh before Bristol City game. Ryan Bennett ruled out Fri 26th Feb 2021 16:20
Injuries are taking their toll, especially during games with Kyle Naughton battling for fitness after being taken off on Wednesday night and Ryan Bennett definitely ruled out and continuing to recover from a calf strain. Both injuries have come in game time in recent weeks. With Wayne Routledge and Liam Cullen also injured during recent matches - as well as Jordan Morris, out for the season, options are becoming limited in the Swansea City squad.
Swansea City 1 Coventry City 0 : A tough road to some redemption Thu 25th Feb 2021 15:00
After the weekends mauling, a hardly satisfying but battling 1-0 victory v Nottingham Forest it was with some trepidation that the swans took to the Liberty pitch against Coventry. The Sky Blues had brushed aside a competent Brentford in their previous game, and with a new found glory were not about to start giving away any ground to Swansea whatsoever. It was a tough hard fought victory.
Swansea run ragged by Yorkshire terriers in soulless display Sat 20th Feb 2021 17:25
The swans had an excellent chance to put even more pressure on the top three today at Huddersfield Town. Against a side that hadn’t won since late December 2020 everyone would have had the game down as a win. But football in the championship doesn’t pan out that way. It’s no embarrassment, just a learning curve for Cooper and our young players. Thu 11th Feb 2021 11:25
Some would say too much respect was paid early on to Manchester City tonight in the FA Cup fifth round tie at the Liberty - as the citizens came and played their usual impressive game. It seems, just like last Friday when Cooper out thought Norwich City that Pep Guardiola did exactly the same in a master class performance. However, the swans were not to be denied a bit of glory.

Forest hammered at Swansea in the FA Cup : What a Cullen ! Sat 23rd Jan 2021 17:48
Swansea City came out the blocks to blow Nottingham Forest away in a first half performance that continued the recent form the club has been in. The first goal came from a sweet cross from Wayne Routledge which found academy product Liam Cullen who confidently passed the ball in to the back of the Forest net. It was only the efforts of goalkeeper Smith who kept the scoreline down in the first half as the home side plugged away for a second. Dhanda a willing co-partner to Matt Grimes in midfield and a fluid Connor Hourihane making his debut ran the game throughout. Hourihane crossing one dead ball in to the Forest half gave swans fans a big clue of his ability at set pieces.
The transfer situation at Swansea is positive and this is why - Big signing coming in ? Sun 17th Jan 2021 12:05
This month the swans have taken a few hits on their loan investments as January moves forwards. More players to go and more players in, that’s positive - and we simply have to trust the model that has gone before is the model for moving on, positively. Swans latest transfer news

Stevenage provided tough opposition this afternoon for a Swansea City side with seven changes from last weekends win against Watford. That said, the game was always in the balance as the home side competed throughout the game in freezing foggy conditions.
